What Happens Next

1. Sign & pay, right here. You'll sign electronically through DocuSign — our engagement letter plus a Statement of Work generated for this specific order, with the price pulled in. If you've already signed our engagement letter with us before, you'll just sign the new Statement of Work — your original letter still governs. Signing is what creates your client record and unlocks your portal login.
2. Pay securely. Signing produces your secure payment link — you're taken there directly, and it's also emailed to you and available in your portal if you step away. Nothing is charged until this step.
3. We confirm your order. You'll see an order-received screen and get a confirmation email saying we have your payment — nothing else is needed from you right now. Your portal shows your order moving from “Order Completed” to “Conflict Check Cleared.”
4. Conflict check. We run our standard conflict check before formally accepting the engagement. We'll be in touch within one business day. On the rare occasion we can't accept the matter, we'll let you know promptly and refund you in full.
5. Book your session. Your 30-minute strategy session is bookable the moment payment lands — pick your attorney, pick a time, and a Zoom meeting is created with a confirmation email. This is bookable even while your conflict check is still in progress.
6. Your matter opens. Once your conflict check clears, an attorney signs off on the order and we countersign your engagement letter. You'll get an email with a link to your portal, where you can follow progress, read every document we draft, see invoices, and ask the portal assistant questions.
7. Your session. Your session is where you get your written findings and a clear recommendation on whether — and how — to move forward with the mark. No separate work phase follows — the session and the written report are the deliverable. If you decide to move forward with registration afterward, that's a separate product (Simple Trademark Registration).
